Mrs. Sherrill
“I’ve always loved math. It’s been fun for me. It’s creative. It just takes my mind off of things. Calculus was different when I took it because we didn’t have a calculator, and now it just makes so much sense that it’s just really cool to share it with everybody cause you can see how it unfolds without having to plot every little point.”
“What’s your favorite memory from teaching?”
“There’s not a particular moment cause there’s lots of them, but it’s when you see the students go, ‘Oh, I see that!’ You know? When you can see them light up it’s just like, ‘Oh, it really did makes sense to them,’ cause you know, usually everybody’s just staring at me. Just kidding! You need to understand that you can do anything that you set your mind to. There are struggles in life but they’re there to help you grow. They’re not there to set you back. And always search.”
