“I’ve been around music ever since I was born, and I’ve been doing it my whole life. Choir and band have shaped who I am as a person, and I wouldn’t be where I am in my life now if it wasn’t for these two organizations. Both are such a tight knit family, you can talk to almost anyone about any problems you have and people are always willing to help. Also, making music together with others, whether it is choral or band music, is incredibly special. It’s a feeling that I believe you can’t experience anywhere other than in the arts. Everyone sort of becomes one unit, and especially in choir you can really feel the emotion that everyone is putting into the music, as well as the synchronization of the people around you. Choir and band have helped convince me that music is what I want to do in life, and I couldn’t be more thankful for what they’ve done for me.”
