“Whenever someone asks me what I’m planning on studying or pursuing, it kind of frightens me a bit because recently after being certain of wanting to pursue a specific path, I came to question my passion for it and reevaluate what my true passion is. Society pressures us in thinking that we need to have every single step of our future planned out. But what the heck? We’re only 18 years old. We just got out of high school. We haven’t even experienced the world yet. Even though I’m still not certain of what exactly I want to pursue, I know that there’s going to be a time where I’ll find where I belong. It may take some people a shorter time and some even longer but I believe that everyone has a purpose in life and will eventually seek their callings. So, whenever someone asks you about your future, don’t be afraid and keep your head held high. You’re still so young. In the end everything will workout and will be alright.”

Signing off,

Amy Song, Treasurer (Baylor University)
